ඔයාලා ඕනෑ තරම් දැකලා ඇති පොත් මිටියක් වගේ File. ඒවාට කියන්නේ Compressed Files කියලා... හුඟක් වෙලාවට Software වගේ Download කරනකොට Compressed File එකක් තමා දෙන්නේ... ඒක ෆයිල් හකුලන ක්‍රමයක් ලෙස සළකන්න පුළුවන්. ඒ වගේම මේ හින්දා වාසි බොහෝමයක් සැළකෙනවා. ෆයිල් එකේ File Size එක අඩු වීම, ෆයිල් එකට සිදුවිය හැකි හානිය අඩු වීම, ෆයිල් කිහිපයක් Download කිරීමට අවශ්‍ය විට ඒ වෙනුවට සියලුම ෆයිල් අඩංගු එක Compressed File එකක් ලබා දිය හැකි වීම, වෛරස මගින් Software Setups වලට සිදුවිය හැකි ආනිය අවම වීම, පහසුවෙන් එහා මෙහා ගෙනයා හැකි වීම වගේ ඒවා. මේ වගේ වාසි හින්දා හුඟක් දෙනා Compressed Files භාවිතා කරනවා... මෙතනදී වෙන්නේ ෆයිල් එක Compressed කරපු ගොනුවක් තුළ ගබඩා වෙන එක... එක Compressed කරපු ගොනුවක් ඇතුලේ ෆයිල් ඇති තරමක් දාන්න පුළුවන්. හිතලා බලන්න... ඔයාලා දැකලා ඇති ෆයිල්ස් ගොඩක් එකට තියෙන Setups. ඒකේ එක ෆයිල් එකක් හරි එහේ මෙහේ උණොත් Setups එක ඉවරයි... හැබැයි ඒ ෆයිල් ඔක්කොම එකම File එකක් විදිහට Compressed කරල තිබ්බනං මුකුත් වෙන්නේ නෑ...මේ Compressed කරපු ෆයිල් එක Extract කරනවා කියන්නේ ආපහු සාමාන්‍ය ෆයිල් ගොඩ බවට පත් කරන එක... මෙතනදී අර Compressed ෆයිල් එක නැති වෙන්නේ නෑ... ඒකේ ඇතුලේ තියෙන ෆයිල්වල Copy එකක් තමා එළියේ හැදෙන්නේ... එතකොට සාමාන්‍ය විදිහටම ඒ ෆයිල්වලින් වැඩගන්න පුළුවන්...

Step 1 : Download A Compress Software

ෆයිල් Compress කරගන්න Software ගොඩක් තියෙනවා. දැනට වැඩිපුරම භාවිතා වෙන පිළිවෙලට මම මේ List එකේ පෙන්නලා තියෙන්නේ. කැමති එකක් Download කරගන්න. හැබැයි මම මේ ලිපියේ සටහන් කරලා තියෙන්නේ WinRAR වලින් උදාහරණ අරගෙන. මොකද දැනට වැඩිපුරම භාවිතා වෙන්නේ WinRAR නිසා... ඒත් හැම Compress Software එකක්ම එක වගේ... ලොකු වෙනසක් නෑ.

Step 2 : Compressing Options

ඔන්න කලින් කිව්වා වගේම WinRAR වලින් Compress / Extract කරන හැටි කියන්නයි යන්නේ. WinRAR එක Install කරපුවහම ඔයාගේ කම්පුයටර් එකේ ඕනෑම File එකක් Right Click කරාම මේ විදිහේ Option set එකක් Context Menu එකේ පෙන්න තියෙයි. පොත් මිටියක Icon එකක් තමා WinRAR වලට තියෙන්නේ.

මම දැන් ඒ Option හතර පැහැදිලි කරන්නම්.

අපිට කැමති විදිහට Settings වෙනස් කරලා Compress කරගැනීම
Add to "File Name.rar"
WinRAR සාමාන්‍ය ක්‍රමයට අපගේ වෙනස් කිරීමකින් තොරව Compress වීම
Compress and email...
අපිට කැමති විදිහට Settings වෙනස් කරලා Compress කරගැනීම හා ඒ මොහොතේම එම ගොනුව Email කිරීමට හැකිීම.

WinRAR සාමාන්‍ය ක්‍රමයට අපගේ වෙනස් කිරීමකින් තොරව Compress වීම හා ඒ මොහොතේම එම ගොනුව Email කිරීමට හැකිවීම
Step 3 : File Compressing

ඉහතින් කිව්ව හැම කොටසක්ම එක වගේ තමා. පොඩි වෙනසයි තියෙන්නේ. ඒ හැම එකකින්ම වැදගත් වෙන්නේ පළවෙනි එක...ඒ කියන්නේ Add to archive... කියන එක. විශේෂයෙන්ම කියන්න ඕනෑ ෆයල් එකක් නෙමේ... ෆයිල් ගොඩක් උණත් එකට Select කරලා උනත් මේක කරන්න පුළුවන්. එතකොටත් හැදෙන්නේ එක ෆයිල් එකයි. ඒ ෆයල් එක ඇතුලේ ඔයා Select කරපු ඔක්කොම ෆයිල් තියෙනවා.

දැන් දෙන්නකෝ Add to archive... එතකොට එයි මෙහෙම Window එකක්...

  1. Compress උණ ෆයිල් එකේ නම
  2. Compress ෆයිල් එකේ ස්වරූපය... මේක වෙනස් කරොත් අනික් Settings ඉබේම හදාගන්නවා. වැඩිම හැකියා ප්‍රමාණයක් තියෙන්නේ Default Profile එකට
  3. Compress ෆයිල් එකේ වර්ගය (File Extention : .rar .rar5 .zip)
  4. කොච්චර ප්‍රමාණයකට Compress වෙන්න ඕනෑද කියන එක...
  5. ආයෙත් Extract වෙන්න ඕනැ විදිහ... (Extract වෙනකොට Extract වෙන ෆයිල්වල නමින්ම තව ෆයිල් එකක් ඒ Extract වෙන තැනම තිබ්බොත් වෙන්න ඕනෑ දේ...)
  6. Compress වෙද්දී වෙන්න ඕනෑ දේවල්... (Compress වෙද්දී සාමාන්‍ය ෆයිල්ස් ටක මකන්න, Setup [SFX] ආකාරයට සකසන්න... වගේ දෙවල්)
  7. Extact කරන්න මුරපදයක් දාන්න.

තව හුඟක් Settings තියෙනවා. ඔය ටික තමා වැදගත් වෙන්නේ... ඔයාට ඕනෑ විදිහකට Settings හදා ගන්න... දැන් ඔබන්න OK. එතකොට මෙහෙම Window එකකින් Compress වෙන බව පෙනෙයි.

ඊට පස්සේ ඔයාට දකින්න පුළුවන් Compress වුණ ෆයිල් එක මේ විදිහට... එකකොට වැඩේ හරි.


Step 4 : Extraction Options

කලින් කිව්ව Compressing Options වගේම Compress කරපු ෆයිල් එකක් Right Click කරහම Extraction Options දකින්න පුළුවන්.

මම දැන් ඒ Option තුන පැහැදිලි කරන්නම්.

Step 5 : Extraction

ඔය මති විදිහක් තෝරන්න. Extract files... එක ඕනෑ වෙන්නේ CD එකක තියෙන ෆයිල් එකක් වගේ Extract කරන්න තමා. මොකද CD එකට Extract කරන්න බැරි හින්දා. එතකොට Extract වෙන තැන වෙනස් කරන්න පුළුවන්. එතකොට වැඩේ හරි.
